Our recycling trucks

We have three recycling trucks that can filter and reuse the water recovered during jobs. This technology considerably reduces drinking water consumption compared with traditional systems.

With this process, the water is treated directly on board the vehicle and then fed back into the jetting circuit, limiting the waste of resources. This approach reflects our determination to combine operational efficiency with environmental responsibility.

Training and apprenticeships

Every year, we increase the number of training hours to maintain a high level of expertise and keep our skills in step with technological and regulatory developments.

This commitment also means training the next generation: we currently have 2 apprentices working towards their CFC (Swiss Federal VET Diploma), alongside 3 already experienced employees.

Training our teams, passing on our know-how and helping them progress ensures the lasting quality of our services and raises the profile of drainage and sewer trades.

Preserving biodiversity

Beyond our core business, we support local initiatives that promote environmental protection.

Amoudruz SA supports the projects of the Printemps d'Abeilles association to safeguard pollinators. Bees play an essential role in the balance of ecosystems. By supporting this initiative, we affirm our determination to take practical action for biodiversity and future generations.

Why is it sustainable?

Amoudruz SA is a family business that has been based in Geneva since 1848. Its red trucks are part of the Geneva landscape. The impact of our activities relates mainly to water in the urban environment, through the maintenance of drains.

Water

Well-maintained drains do not leak. They therefore protect the soil and groundwater, and prevent rainwater or groundwater from seeping into the network. This ‘extraneous’ water dilutes wastewater and reduces the efficiency of wastewater treatment plants.

Thanks to watertightness testing and pipe relining, we extend the life of your pipes without digging trenches. That means less work, less disruption and fewer materials.

Your health, protected. Healthy drains carry wastewater away properly. The risk of it mixing with clean water, and therefore the risk of contamination, is greatly reduced.
Buildings that last. Maintaining your drains preserves the value of your property and avoids major, costly repairs.
No more unpleasant odours. Drain cleaning and emptying keep your installations hygienic and eliminate the odours rising from sewers and pipes.
Your safety in severe weather. In the event of heavy rain or flooding, our teams respond day and night to make premises safe and protect residents.

Urban planning

A more resilient city. Invisible yet essential, drains have to cope with increasingly violent storms. Maintaining them helps create a city that is better able to manage rainwater: the ‘sponge city’. Our drain survey is also a useful first step before any renovation or new construction.
Repairing without digging. No-dig rehabilitation avoids major building works: less concrete, fewer trucks, lower emissions and less disruption for the neighbours.

Preserving rather than replacing. Our camera lets us see exactly what condition your drains are in. Often, a targeted repair is enough and there is no need to replace the pipe. That is a gain for you and for the environment alike.
Protecting waterways. Inspection reveals misconnections and wastewater infiltrating the stormwater network, which would otherwise end up in our rivers and in the lake.

Health

Our job since 1848. Keeping the city hygienic has been our purpose for more than 175 years: carrying away wastewater, eliminating odours and sewage backflow, and controlling pests such as rats.

Every year, Amoudruz SA is pleased to welcome an apprentice training for the CFC as a drainage technologist. This reflects the Amoudruz family's wish to pass on its know-how to future generations.

What is EcoEntreprise?

Since 2013, the EcoEntreprise label has been the benchmark Swiss label for sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. It was developed by the Écoparc association and Globalité Management. It is based on the international ISO 26000 standard and covers environmental, social and economic aspects. It is awarded for 3 years following an audit by an accredited independent body, with a follow-up audit every year.

What is Responsibility Europe?

Responsibility Europe is an international CSR label launched in 2021. It brings together demanding national labels based on ISO 26000 and aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. A company qualifies by obtaining one of these national labels, such as EcoEntreprise in Switzerland. The RE label remains valid for as long as the national label is valid.
